Last night the Lady Falcons returned to conference play following Spring Break. It was evident that West was away from soccer for over a week as it took some time after the first whistle to get in the flow. Luckily for West they were still able to create a lot of opportunities, but were not able to find the back of the net. West managed to take the lead when an East defender miss hit a clearing attempt and the ball got behind their goalkeeper. East made things difficult for most of the game as they played 6 people on defense for most of the game. West was able to capitalize on a corner kick within the last 10 minutes of the first half when Brianna Saelinger played a ball in to box and connected with Lejla Mehmedovic. Though the score remained close, the scoring opportunities were in favor of West. Finally as time was winding down in the 2nd half, Mackenna Clifton was able to place a shot past East’s keeper to extend the lead to 3-0. West travels to Carson for their last away game of the season.
